Exploring Ideas

With an eastern European background, I cannot help but thinking about a project which topic relates to this. I am originally from Romania and when I think of what people's reaction is when they hear this, I always get: "Oh, Dracula!... Transylvania!...". Well, fair enough...Bram Stocker's novel has definitely made this part of Europe very famous. It is attracting an increasing number of tourists every year ( https://transylvanianow.com/transylvanian-tourism-on-the-rise/ ) whether they travel there for a relaxing holiday and to visit the real historical places behind Stoker's novel or even to explore further the other touristic attractions which this land has to offer. Personally, I believe that a good exposure in order to raise awareness about exactly these issues could make a suitable topic for a Degree Project and I am planing on bringing this on in form of a short (max. 4 minutes long) documentary.
BBC has spoken about this (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-europe-46377993/the-romanian-forest-that-s-disappearing ), the Independent has written about it (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/romania-forest-ranger-murder-deforestation-environment-illegal-logging-a9193896.html ) and there is a lot of media around this subject already, which will hopefully bring some positive results. In the meantime, I though of taking a different approach basing the context on the touristic aspect simply because...
